Child Trafficking
A victim of child trafficking is a person below the age of 18 years who is abused for physical/sexual exploitation, forced labour, slavery, domestic servant, organ removal by obtaining the consent of victim either on threat or deceitfully. The CAW&CW is the nodal agency in Odisha to develop different strategies to combat human trafficking cases related to children. 37 Integrated Anti Human Trafficking Units (IAHTU) have been formed in various districts to specially deal with this heinous crime.

Laws for Child Trafficking: The Criminal Law (Amendment) Act-2013 inserted Section 370 & 370AIPC which provided for punishment to counter the menace of human trafficking including trafficking of children. Besides, the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act-1956 addresses the challenge of child trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation.
