Child Labour

Driven by poverty, lack of education and employment opportunities, children are often found employed in a variety of industries like in brick kilns, carpet weaving, garment industry, domestic service, food and refreshment stalls, agriculture, fisheries with some working in hazardous circumstances. However, Indian laws prohibit engagement of a child below the age of 14 years in any occupation or an adolescent (above the year of age of 14 years but below 18 years) in hazardous occupation or process. Please report any violation of these extant laws of land, immediately.
