Acid attack, often an act of vengeance by offender, can lead to severe and long term physical disfigurement of victims in addition to far reaching social, psychological and economical consequences. Our endeavour in CAW&CW is to make every woman and child feel comfortable and safe in public places without the fear of being harassed. Apprehending the culprits, fast tracking of justice and providing compensation to victim are ensured by CAW&CW. If you are a survivor of acid attack or you have encountered any such incident, you can approach the nearest police station to make a complaint.

Laws for Acid Attack: The Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013 inserted Section 326A and Section 326B in the Indian Penal Code, 1860 creating special provisions for the victims of acid attack with provision for imprisonment of the accused for a minimum sentence of ten years, which may increase up to life imprisonment along with fine.
