Recognitions:

New knowledge generated: process developed and facilities created which are of public health importance – describe briefly your role with proof and state whether transferred to health system.

1. Easy Accessibility of Health Care: Looking in to the Public Health impact and the present Health scenario in with in the Health infrastructure, THE MOBILE HEALTH VAN was advised to Govt. of Odisha based on my field experience. This was adopted in 7 districts first later on it was extended to 21 and to all 30 districts in a phase wise manner after huge success. This is a successful model, even today in remote areas.
2. Early diagnosis of TB in Remote area: Based on this experience in TIE-TB Project we adopted the Mobile Diagnostic Vans equipped with X-ray and, Microscopy and CBNAAT with power facility in the Vans. These vans produced a satisfactory result of 40% more positive TB patients’ detection in REMOTE villages of Jharkhand State.  I was the PI of the Jharkhand Project Funded by Global Fund.
